Kudos to Ursuline Academy for sharing the joy of the holidays by hosting a Christmas party on December 7th for 49 people with IDD.

Since 2006, Ursuline has reached out to The Arc of Delaware for help with inviting group home residents and others with IDD to this annual school tradition.

Upper school students worked with The Arc to select items needed or wanted by the guests, then purchased, wrapped and handed them out as presents at the party.

Everyone also enjoyed the festive decorations and music, singing along to the Christmas carols led by students in both middle and upper schools. As always, the highlight of the day was a visit from Santa.
