A huge thanks to the Delaware General Assembly for awarding The Arc of Delaware with $20,000 Grant-in-Aid funds to support our Outreach program.

Grant-In-Aid is an appropriation made by the General Assembly to support the activities of non-profit organizations that provide services to the citizens of Delaware. The purpose of this funding is to provide supplemental funding to qualified agencies.

The Arc is a provider of unique services to individuals with IDD in Delaware who are in need of assistance in procuring services. We help people with IDD navigate the state systems and other resources, including those who need support but are ineligible for DDDS services.

While social and recreation activities may also be provided by some other nonprofit agencies, there is still demand for multiple opportunities throughout the state. Our monthly dances are packed each month, and our goal is to make them available in all three counties this year.
